Top 3 Reasons to Hire a Pet Photographer

You might be expecting me to urge you to hire a photographer who has the skills and experience of working almost exclusively with horses and dogs, and the top three reasons to do so.  And I will. But in a different post.  

These 'top three' come more from the heart, and the notion that we don't have our wonderful pets long enough.  

Most people think about professional photography when there are big moments in their life - a new baby, a wedding or a graduating senior.  

But there are no real milestones for pet photography.

And yet a puppy grows up so fast, our beloved senior will sadly not be with us forever and it's so easy to let their middle years drift happily along.  Perhaps this last year was helpful for one reason, and that is to celebrate the now, because nothing is guaranteed.  

You don't have to wait for a big moment to have professional photos of your horse or dog, having them in your life is celebration enough.  Instead have a 'just because' session - here are 3 big reasons not to wait:

#1 Because every day of having our pets in our lives is a gift

#2 Because they bring you such joy and unconditional love

#3 Because you love them with all your heart and soul 

So repeat after me - having them in your life is celebration enough.  

Note: the photos above are of Winnie, a puppy who will stay this small for exactly 5 seconds. :) For puppy sessions I like to show the scale of them so I often put them in, or on things.  Because in one year Winnie's people will look at her photos and say, "I can't believe she fit in that!"  But more on puppy sessions in another post.
