The 2022 Pet Calendar Project - Thirteenth Session
I met Jennifer and Storm at Lititz Springs Park for the final session. I don't remember if I asked Jennifer ahead of time if Storm would be OK with the huge flock of ducks that call the park home but fortunately he was fine with them. There are so many ducks there if Storm had been the slightest bit reactive we would have gone to another location. But just look at him - what a sweetheart! I'm the owner of a small pack of jack russells and it would be unheard of to try any kind of photo session here. Anytime a duck waddled through the frame I was grateful for Storm's gentle demeanor and sweet disposition. Plus, he's a very handsome boy on top of it!
I only wish I had come away with a good duck photobomb image.
When I said Storm was gentle and sweet I wasn't kidding.
Instead of water or rest breaks Storm took snuggle breaks, never missing an opportunity to kindly greet anyone who walked by and wanted to say hello. He stood quietly with his tail wagging and soaked up all the attention.
We wandered the park taking advantage of the various backdrops it afforded. You can purchase the calendar HERE and see which image was selected!
In Memory of Julianne
A beautiful senior dog named Julianne won a spot on the calendar but very sadly her mom Audrey had to say goodbye before our session could happen. By all accounts Julianne was loved by everyone who met her, and Julianne returned that love tenfold.
The calendar is dedicated to her memory.
As I was driving home from Storm's session I passed a beautiful sight and had to pull over to make a photo of it. The image is posted below. The 2022 Pitties.Love.Peace Calendar Project took me all over beautiful Lancaster County and this photo feels like a fitting way to wrap it up.
A huge THANK YOU to all who participated by entering your dog and/or donating- and of course to the wonderful people at PLP who volunteered their time and helped coordinate this project.
